Music has been my primary form of artistic expression for over twenty years. I have always preferred ensemble performances to solos, collaboration to silos. (This is also true in my view of organizations and groups.) All creativity is connected, including that which generates a new sequence of pleasing sounds in music and that which creates new products, processes, and programs within organizations and groups. Thus, my participation in music influences my consulting practice, and vice versa.
As a brass instrumentalist, I have played in orchestras, big bands, jazz combos, and brass bands. I have performed in concert halls and breweries, for gallery openings and weddings, and at birthday parties and festivals. As a vocalist, I have toured internationally, performed at the Newport Folk Festival, and opened for Elvis Perkins. I have taught general music in classrooms; given voice, piano, percussion, brass, and music theory instruction in one-on-one and small group settings; and traveled the country teaching Sacred Harp singing schools.
I am experienced, versatile, and highly collaborative. I would love to talk with you about working together.
